Family is about origins

Remember the wisdom of your ancestors in order to become wise.

Family history tells the story of past generations and their steadfastness to build meaningful lives with self-determination, grit, and spirituality. Through research and oral tradition we learned of the triumphs and troubles of our matriarchs and patriarchs whose resilience of resilience is well documented.

Our Family History

How we work together. We’re stronger together.

As family members migrated from the rural south up the northeastern corridor of the United States it seemed necessary to create a family’s organizational structure that would provide a manageable family support network.

How we stay connected.

“There is a depth to life which only comes from our connection to other people" - Donna Goddard, Waldmeer.

While technology has helped us stay connected with one another, there is one annual event that is sure to boast 100+ participants; the Williams-Locke Family Reunion.

The Family Reunion

Family in the Spotlight

This year’s 112th family reunion was hosted in Los Angeles, CA. The host family shared with the local CBS station information about the unique family gathering, the origin story behind the event, and how this long standing tradition has evolved and impacts so many families.
